So Long Christmas

I've been told by my daughter and husband that they are embarrassed that I still had my Christmas tree lights on.When they drove up the street no one else had the tree up still. So I had to pull the plug.I guess I will be busy Saturday taking down Christmas and cleaning.I was trying to put it off as long as possible.

I did take down the pine garland and boxwood wreaths from outside.I felt the pressure of the neighbors...They started New Years day !

Not sure what I will do to revamp the displays.I need inspiration.Hopefully it will come.Maybe I will leave the snowmen out...Did anyone else leave the snowmen out??? Talk to you soon. Michelle

Hi Mabel, I pick out a few snowmen and leave them out to spring. After all it is still winter, even though this time of the year I had enough winter and am wanting to put my rabbits out for spring. March is not far off. Oh by the way we are expecting 6-10 inches of snow here Monday, guess it will be a bunny making day. Vicky

Morning Mable...well sorry the pressures of the kids and the neighbors forced you to move on...personally I love my christmas decorations and I leave my tree up till I'm bored with it. the rest generally gets put away but my Snowmen and my Christmas Bears. I put away the Bears around Vanentine's. Figure it is winter in good old Ohio forever so Snowmen fit in till the snow melts and the spring Flowers show there faces. I just hang a Valentine heart ornie around there necks..lol

Not to worry inspiration will come to you and before you know it you will have a whole new look. In the meantime let the mind ponder..

Blessings
Tonya

I completely understand.
I left mine out about a week longer than my neighbors.
Even though I admit, it was only because I was too lazy to go outside and do it. LOL!!

But I did feel the pressure everytime I drove up my street and saw everyone else had theirs all cleaned up.

I started taking down my inside decor Christmas night. (Gasp!) I know!! LOL!!
But I put it all out early, so by the time Christmas rolled around, I was tired of it. ;)

I only decorate for fall and Christmas. By the time Christmas is over Im ready for Spring. :)

Take Care,
Tam
